By now, you’re probably familiar with PostSecret, the project where people send in postcards filled with their secrets. (if not, refer to the wikipedia article). As it happens, Frank Warren, the man who started it all, is coming to Toronto.

The Torontoist has already covered this topic, so I’ll refer you to their post on the event and also an interview with Frank Warren. There will be an audio visual presentation and talk by Frank at sundown and Frank will be signing books before and after his presentation.

When: Thursday, May 31st, 8:00 pm
Where: The park beside OCAD (100 McCaul Street.)
Details: Space is limited, so you’re encouraged to arrive early. In fact, the Facebook event page lists 7:00 pm as the time.

The Imagined City – Toronto

2005_km_mural_cityscape.jpgAs part of the 2007 Toronto Festival of Architecture & Design, Amy Lavender Harris (Imagining Toronto) and Gary Michael Dault (Cells of Ourselves, The Milk of Birds) explore Toronto’s place in the literary imagination and discuss how Toronto writers capture the city’s diversity and growth, as well as its nightmares, desires, and secrets.

“Haunted subway tunnels? A riot at Christie Pits? The CN Tower toppled into Lake Ontario?” Sounds like an interesting night.

When: Thursday, May 31. 7 pm
Where: Lillian Smith Library, 239 College Street.
Details: More about Imagining Toronto at their website. As always, there’s a facebook event page.
