Night Lights: Higher

The creative folks at Newmindspace continue to bring you fun, free events that draw together friends and strangers to create public art in Toronto. The next event is happening tomorrow night (Saturday November 22) on the U of T front campus. Grab your earmuffs and go help light up the night!

Tomorrow night, we will attempt to create an art installation that is higher than the CN Tower. Over the course of four hours, we will slowly raise a glowing string by balloons, attaching brightly coloured LEDs every foot or so. Throughout the event, the dazzling string will reach dizzying heights and drift gently in the wind.

Join us for an evening of LED stargazing, hot chocolate, and music from Xofer and Dingokiller.

Dress warm, bring a refillable mug, and be ready for a free afterparty (and the spirited subway trip there with friends.)

News!!!—News!!!

Well, it’s a fact: midterms, papers and the new US president are taking most of our time. But hopefully starting next week we will have the time and energy to post new content. In the meantime, there are a few things I would like to share with you. First, about two weeks ago, Toronto Sun’s daily newspaper 24hours run an article on student clubs and organization, and we were interviewed on the topic. Although we they don’t have the article online, you can check it out here. Second, it’s never to late to contribute for BlogUT and gain some writing experience. Additionally, you could always add to your resume your experience as a writer, which will improve your overall qualification for any job! 🙂

If you have an event, story, news, or photo that you would like to get it poste, please feel free to drop us a line!
