blogUT’s NXNE Post
June 7th, 2007 by Admin
Well, unless you’re very much out of “the know” (as in so far away from “the know” that you can’t taxi, but need to take a chartered flight into “the know”)… you probably know that the NXNE festival is kicking off today.
What makes NXNE awesome? There’s a lot going on at the festival, but I’d argue it’s raison d’etre is 3 nights of the indiest of the indie bands rocking out all accross Toronto. Let’s measure how awesome that is with our awesome metre…. Okay, our awesome meter just broke. It’s hissing and blowing smoke. Yeah, far too awesome to handle.
Anyway, all the other blogs have posted about this event (because it’s so awesome, of course). The good people over at Torontoist are putting together day by day previews for the festival (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Also, the cool cats at BlogTO has put together their picks.
If you’d rather dig through all the bands yourself , you can check out the full shedule here. I’d suggest googling for their Myspace pages to listen to samples of their music.
When: Thursday June 7th to Sunday June 10th
Where: EVERYWHERE! There are a ton of shows all across the city. Again, check the schedule.
Details: $28 for a wristband that lets you have access to all the music in 4 days. Admission at doors also available for somewhere between $5 to $20 dollars. Check pricing and the schedule on the NXNE website.
