U of T ASX Presents Expanding Canada’s Frontiers
The University of Toronto Astronomy and Space Exploration Society (ASX) presents the fourth annual Expanding Canada’s Frontiers Symposium: The Search for Life. In case you didn’t know (and I didn’t, until a few days ago), “Expanding Canada’s Frontiers is one of the largest student-run public events held at the University of Toronto, and is possibly the largest single-night astronomy event of the year in Canada.”
The event will feature Dr. Max Bernstein from NASA Ames Research Center, speaking on molecules in space, meteorites, and the search for life in the Solar System and Prof. Ray Jayawardhana of the University of Toronto, speaking on the diversity of exo-planets.
The event takes place on Friday Jan 26, 2007, 7:00 pm in the OISE Auditorium (252 Bloor St. W). Ticket are $10 for adults, and free for students, available at U of T Tix.
