So, it’s been half a year since we launched blogUT and we hope you’re enjoying our content so far. Thanks to the encouragement and support from fellow bloggers and fellow U of T students, we’ve come pretty far! But we’re just getting warmed up. We want to go a lot further!

With that said, we are hiring (scratch that, we can’t afford to pay you) want you to join our amazing team of wicked-awesomeness. Think it’s fun to read us? It’s even more fun to BE us! We’re recruiting for writers, photographers, graphic designers, marketting whizzes, idea come-up-withers, millionaire beneficiaries, indie rock stars, stunt doubles, web pirates, cyber ninjas, cyborgs and astronauts.

We’re recruiting because we’ve got big plans lined up! What do we want to do?

• We want more interesting articles on student experiences: international exchange, volunteering in developing countries, med. school preparation, summer job as a spy with CSIS, baking cookies, etc.
• We want to make connections with campus organizations and U of T administration so we get the word out about blogUT and help spread the word about campus events.
• We want to build an advertising network and collect a few bucks and put it to good use: reimburse writers, cover expenses, gold-plate our laptops and keyboards.
• We want a facelift. We want blogUT to look sexy for the new school term. All the first years will be fawning over our smokin’ hot URL.
• Eventually, the plan is to sell out to Google for 2.9 Billion dollars and launch a shuttle to Mars… of course.

So what’s in it for you? Because it’ll be fun! Be in the know about all the cool things going and attend with press passes as part of the media. Come up with an article idea and go investigate, limb fences, dodge bullets, write about what you’re interested in, and get it published. Get exposure on your photos, designs and be recognized. Work on marketing projects, learn, and build connections. And you get to do all this with a team of equally adventurous and fun people.

If that’s not reason enough, I don’t know how to convince you. Oh! And I’ll be your friend!
