The UT General Assembly is a pretty exciting and interesting event that’s definitely worth checking out to get your voice heard and hear what others have to say. It’s been organised ad hoc by people from all over campus to get everyone from all over campus (undergrads, grad students, student groups, staff, faculty, etc) who have been making decisions about campus life and the university in silos to be in the same room to share ideas and have a real dialogue.
On the agenda for this meeting:
- campus closure
- flat fees
- program cuts
- sustainability and environmental justice
- the university fund
- tutorial sizes
The first meeting will help to formalize how the general assembly will operate in the future and thus how democratic dialogue at UofT will be better established.
