So, on my way back from dinner tonight, I noticed parts of Chinatown were blocked off and there was police everywhere. At first, I thought it was some sort of crime scene, but upon inquiring I found out that they were filming a movie!

According to my sources, which may or may not be correct, the movie they’re filming is Repossession Mambo, starring Jude Law:

Based on the novel by Eric Garcia, the film is set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, and revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed.

Stage directions were being shouted at the extras all over the place, and among the noise, someone was yelling, “Any more hookers? Do we have any more hookers on set?”

Slightly related random fact: Jude Law was at the Eaton Centre a few weeks ago filming a scene on the south end escalator.
