What Can You Do for blogUT? Find Out at the Next blogUT Meeting!

Dear readers, the long and the short of it is: yours truly (JP) will be graduating from U of T in 2 months. That means I will no longer be able to hold the position as editor of blogUT. The torch shall be passed on to a generation of younger, better, faster, and stronger bloggers. That leaves the question: who (in the plural sense) will rise to the occasion?

To answer the above question, I’d like to ask two more questions: What has blogUT done for you, and what can you do for blogUT?

What has blogUT done for you? The goal of blogUT was to make U of T campus life more interesting by highlighting various cool, fun things that enrich student life. It is my hope that blogUT will continue to do that in the coming years for future U of T students.

What can you do for blogUT? Aside from the obvious roles of writers, photographers, and web designers (which we all welcome and are in sincere need of), there are a lot of other ways you can get involved. Are you a business or commerce major? You can work on marketing and advertising efforts to build the reach and revenue of blogUT. Interested in leadership? Managing a publication is going to put your leadership skills to the test! (It certainly has put mine to the test… hell, I didn’t even know I had leadership skills till I started blogUT). Are you a political science major? I don’t really know what you do… but perhaps you’d be interested in working with U of T administration and putting together funding proposals to see blogUT grow as a campus establishment.

So, if you do feel that blogUT has done something for your student life and you have something to contribute to blogUT, I hope to hear from you and see you at our next meeting! Thanks for you attention, my lovely readers.

Yours truly, JP
