Want to win a pass for two to see ARGO in theatres? Answer below with your favourite Ben Affleck film and why:

Based on true events, “Argo” chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis—the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA “exfiltration” specialist named Tony Mendez (Affleck) comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.

My favourite Ben Affleck role was in Paycheck. He played the character well as the movie kept me on my toes! He’s a pretty versatile actor; I can’t wait to see Argo and see the more serious side of him.

  2. Danita Says:

My favourite is The Town. Its nail bitingly intense, beautifully shot, and it really proved that Affleck is a directorial force to be reckoned with.

  3. Justin Says:

My favourite Ben Affleck role was in Daredevil. Despite the movie being absolutely awful, his acting along side Michael Clarke Duncan’s acting as well really saved the movie from being worse. Ben Affleck has proven himself as an actor and director to be reckoned with and with Argo I can see the Oscars flying towards him.

  4. Katie Says:

I loved “The Town” both because Affleck directed it, and because I loved the way he framed his hometown, Boston.

    Definitely, Maybe

That movie was so heartwarming and redefines what family can mean. :)

  6. Mark D Says:

Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms yo.
I watched that after Ben Affleck and Jason Mewes recommended it to me during Jay & Silentbob Strike Back. I was not dissapointed.

    But seriously though: Gigli

My favourite Ben Affleck movie would be Gone Baby Gone. The movie is based upon a 4 year old girl disappearance from her home and two private detectives are hired to find her. This movie was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I try to catch it every time its on T.V.
